About the Department

Sri Sai Ram Engineering College , an ISO-certified autonomous institution, was established in 1995 by the visionary philanthropist MJF. Ln. Leo Muthu, Founder and Chairman of the Leo Group of Companies. Operated under the banner of the Sapthagiri Educational Trust, the institute is located in Sai Leo Nagar, Dharkast, near Tambaram, Chennai – 600044. Since its inception, the institution has been committed to providing quality technical education with a strong emphasis on innovation, ethics, and excellence.

The Department of Cyber Security at Sri Sairam Engineering College was established in 2024-25 to address the growing need for skilled professionals in the field of cyber security. With an initial intake capacity of 60 students, the department has now expanded to accommodate 180 students. The department is supported by a dedicated team of four faculty and staff members, each contributing specialized expertise in diverse areas of cyber security, information technology, and digital innovation. Our department offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in cyber security. To ensure students remain at the forefront of the ever-evolving cyber security landscape, we regularly organize guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and training programs. These events feature renowned engineers and academicians from national and international institutions, providing our students with the unique opportunity to interact with experts and stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the field.
